Today, I came out of retirement as a full time employee of USA Pickleball. I am one of four Sector Leaders in the newly restructured organization. I am the South Sector Ambassador Leader, which includes 3 regions: The South Atlantic, Mid South, and Southwest Regions. These regions make up 10 states including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Those states are Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

It is for that reason that I have decided to step down as President of the Bama Beach Pickleball Club, effective January 31, 2023. Joan and I will still live in Gulf Shores and will try to be as active as possible, although with this new position, it would be impossible to continue on as President.

It is my hope that someone will come forward and will lead this club to be bigger and better. I would like to assist whoever takes the position to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Our club has grown significantly over the past 3 years. With the construction of new public courts, our club is in a position to have a lot of influence in the community to help with the growth of pickleball that will come.
