It is with great disappointment that I announce the USA Pickleball Board of Directors, by a unanimous vote, has withdrawn the sanctioning of our August tournament. For many of you that may be a big relief. We plan to push the tournament to early 2021 and will be working with the Foley Sports Tourism Event Center staff for a date that we mutually can reschedule the tournament to. They will begin working on their 2021 schedule near the end of August and have other events that have also been postponed. We should have a new date sometime in September with registrations opening about 90 days before the tournament (e.g. November for a February tournament, etc.)

The good news is that we plan to have our tournament over 4 days instead of the 3 days we had scheduled it for this August. Also, any player that played in last year’s tournament or registered to play for this year’s tournament will all be able to preregister before the tournament is open to the public.

We will not keep your money. Instead, all but a yet to be determined amount (less than $5) will be refunded through PayPal to the credit/debit card used when you paid your registration fee.

You are responsible for canceling your lodging reservations for the tournament. The Marriott next to the event center has been informed of the cancellation.
