CHURCH IS OPEN FOR PLAY

16 Mar 2020 by Lucy Douty

After an executive board vote today, it has been decided that the church will remain open for PB play. This week will be the current schedule and then next week we will go back to 9-12 each day, one session only plus Friday and Saturday nights. We will do our best to clean doors, door handles, balls, nets, chairs, (anything you may touch) with a light solution of bleach. If we all wash our hands before entering the church and
don’t touch each other, don’t touch our faces, we will be fine. It is entirely your choice whether to play or not, of course. If you are at all concerned please stay home until you feel comfortable being in public. Today, and over the past few days, we have had about 24 people playing and all felt safe. However, because we can’t control where else you have been (stores, gas stations, other public spots), we can’t be 100% sure a germ has not been picked up along the way. Unless you self quarantine, you may pick up a germ in your travels. We are doing our best to wipe down everything and ask you to bring hand sanitizers as we are trying to find more for the church and have a little left right now. All in all, if we stay diligent and wash our hands, we will be good. If you are concerned at all, please make that personal choice to stay home. Pickleball will be there when this is over! The church agrees with our position but also states that our personal hygiene is up to us…of course. We will be there…but again, please join us only if you are 100% sure. That’s why we live in such a great country…we can make choices. Stay healthy, everyone, and find your enjoyment over the next few months in a way that suits you. Thank you.
